Tax refund or tax rebate is a refund on taxes paid on your earnings. This usually occurs when income tax paid to the government exceeds the tax rate you are actually required to pay by the local tax office.

What is Codice Fiscale?
Codice Fiscale is a tax code consisting of 16 numbers and letters. This code allows the authorities to identify each citizen in Italy with regards to his/her relationship with public offices and tax information relating to them. Everybody, whether Italian or foreigner, who carries out remunerated activities or is employed in Italy needs to have tax identification number assigned to them (Codice Fiscale). You’ll become taxed as residents only once you complete 183 work days in Italy.
What is a CUD form?
The CUD form is a kind of a final payroll document issued by the employer and sent to the employee at latest the 15 March of the following year or maximum 12 days after finishing the employment. It specifies the amount of earnings and paid taxes in the relevant year by each employee.
What taxes can be refunded and when is the last chance to apply for tax refund?
The only refundable tax is the income tax. The taxpayer can claim a refund for the direct deductions and payments and the sooner you send us the required documents, the sooner you will receive your refund.
Keep in mind that the regular deadline for applying, for example, the 2013 tax year is 30 August 2014. However, upon payment of a small fee to the tax office this deadline may be prolonged up to 31 December 2014. But in this case we will need additional documents.
Dendax returns tax refunds from Italy up to 4 years back. But the process of tax refund from previous years is quite difficult and you will need a special power of attorney Istanza di Rimborso.
How much time do I have to wait?
According to Agenzia delle Entrate (the Italian tax authorities) the refund is processed on their side in about 1 year. In some cases the processing time may take up to 2 years and in very rare cases even more.

What amount could I receive?

The price is 14% from the refunded amount. There is a minimum fee of 82 EUR.
