Income Tax Refund from Slovak Republic
All employees working in Slovak Republic pay 19% income tax on their earnings and they have the right under certain conditions to get their overpaid taxes back.

What is form Potvrdenie?
Potvrdenie is the annual summary which you will receive from your employer at the end of the fiscal year or when your working contract ends up. It shows the total amount you earned from your employer, as well as the taxes your employer deducted from your earnings and paid to the tax office.

You can apply 3 years back in Slovak Republic.
How long does it take to get the refund?
On average, between 4 to 6 months from the time your documents are sent to the Tax Authorities, the actual time may vary on case by case basis.
How much is the service fee?
The price is 22% from the refunded amount. There is a minimum fee of 99 EUR.
